THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 2 AT DOOMBEN ON SATURDAY MORNING!

Race 2 Doomben 3.18 Humbolt Current (6/4)

Likeable sort who made it 3-3 at this track last time running on strongly off the turn for home; form really stacks up and with 4 wins over this trip he looks to have plenty going for him again; keep safe against these.

Some really good racing Down Under on Saturday morning and we head to Doomben for our best bet. HUMBOLT CURRENT is unbeaten at this track and he is hard to oppose again having done well to get up last time. He has the strongest form on offer here and is hard to knock. 6/4 at the time of writing is almost certainly going to come under pressure and I think he’ll be a warm order come post time. Romakash has 11 wins from 44 starts and he is chasing a hat-trick so looks the obvious danger. Alward certainly has the form to get involved but with just 1 win from 8 starts here he does need to produce his very best to trouble the selection. 8 wins over this trip though so should be in the placings I suspect.

Race 3 Randwick 3.45 Art Cadeau (15/8)

Progressive horse who won again last time justifying favouritism at Goulburn making it 4 wins from 10 starts including 6 seconds; clearly very talented and with an inside draw should prove tough to beat here.

This is a good race but I have to side with ART CADEAU here for Terry Robinson and Tommy Berry. This horse has really strong form and he has won 3 of his last 4 and is chasing a hat-trick so just keeps getting better. He has a good draw inside so he should always be well positioned in this big field and is proven on softer ground so won’t mind the rain. Really hard to fault so 15/8 at the time of writing looks worth taking. Spiranac is the closest rival in the betting and she has won 2 of her last 3 and 5 from 11. She looks a cracking bet from a place perspective as like the selection she looks on an upward trajectory. Tara Jasmine had looked promising but has a bit to prove after that last run.
