THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS AT MORNINGTON!
Race 2 Mornington 5.00 Akaka Falls (6/4)
Promising type who ran a cracker last time beaten less than a length; runner-up 3 times from 5 starts so looks poised to make the breakthrough now; won’t need to improve a great deal to beat these comfortably.
The Aussie NAP was back to winning ways overnight as the Daily Double landed too. We’ll be looking to take that form into Tuesday as we head to Mornington for our best bet. AKAKA FALLS hasn’t done a great deal wrong and he finds the right race now to go one better. He is a model of consistency and only slight improvement would see him take this out. Bossy Chloe is the potential pace angle in the race and she could end up giving the favourite a lovely toe into it. Tycoon Beau makes his debut and looks the potential danger. Clearly bred to be pretty useful but you’d think he might benefit from the outing. Hard to see much else landing a blow with Cometh The Hour needing to improve plenty.

Race 2 Armidale 4.25 Flying Euros (15/8)
Likeable type who is yet to make the breakthrough but gone close several times and finished runner-up 6 times with 10 placings from 20 starts; if he settles he is going to take a lot of beating in a winnable race.
The Aussie NB landed last night so hopefully we can fire in another winner on Tuesday! FLYING EUROS is yet to win but that isn’t without trying and this looks one of his best opportunities to date. Warphil is the likely leader so I think he’ll track him over and get a nice route into the race. He will need to settle as he does have a tendency to be keen but if he does then he’ll have the others in trouble. On recent form he is really hard to fault as plenty of these have questions to answer. Scatman is possibly the main threat. He will be fitter for that comeback run but will need to improve to fight it out. Iciafox never got involved last time but looks solid in terms of a place in a weak affair.
