THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 4 AT CANTERBURY ON WEDNESDAY!
Race 4 Canterbury 5.30 Fifteen Aria (6/4)
Well bred filly who has won 2 from 3 and really impressed to prevail by a nose having been hampered at Hawkesbury at the start of the month; sure to keep improving and looks the one to beat in this field.
Back from 3 months off the track FIFTEEN ARIA did well to prevail at Hawkesbury last time. She was hampered early on and again met some trouble when trying to establish her position. She did eventually see daylight and wound up strongly to get there by a nose at the line. She is sure to come on for that and with more to come she can make it 3 from 4. Brookspire would have been a major danger but she has been scratched now so expect the selection to be a warm order come post time. I don’t think the 6/4 will last for much longer. Blazing Mac is a likeable mare and she won well on penultimate start. She has a bit to prove after that heavy defeat last time though. Wild Irish will be fitter, also a danger.

Race 9 Ascot 9.54 Lord Lonsdale (6/4)
Promising type who already has 2 wins from 5 starts; shaped as though he’ll be all the better for the run when fourth over shorter here last month, not beaten far; fitter now and looks progressive so big chance.
With Pike up I’m expecting LORD LONSDALE to take another step forward. He does have a sticky gate in 9 but I can see him pushing forward and racing positively. If he does he has the class to see these off. He should be a lot fitter now and to me looks to have plenty going for him. Worth A Risk is a good looking mare who brings winning form to the table so she is entitled to plenty of respect. Definitely looks the danger. Great Charade is a threat on exposed form but has just 4 wins from 30 starts so probably vulnerable for win purposes. Heart Of Coeur is consistent and should be hovering about for a place in the closing stages. Pearls From Heaven needs to bounce back but previous form stacks up.
