Race 7 Mackay 6.42 Gamboa (10/11)
Progressive sort who made it four straight back from four months off the track to win impressively here over shorter last time; scope to keep improving and he looks one to keep on side now especially as he is 3-3 at this track.
This looks another decent opportunity for GAMBOA to win. He is looking to land the five-timer and it would take a brave man to oppose given his current form. He loves this track having won all 3 starts here and the step up in trip should be ideal. He is improving all the time and should win this before going on to better things in time. He is likely to push forward again and I can see him dominating these. All Star Rocket will try and apply pace pressure but she just doesn’t look good enough on what she’s shown recently. Overseas has finished runner-up the last twice and shouldn’t be far away again. Could be the one to give the selection most to think about in the closing stages.

Race 2 Muswellbrook 3.50 Winside (10/11)
Exciting filly who is a perfect 2-2 having scored on debut in the style of a nice prospect and then following up back from a break at Queanbeyan; fitter now and open to further improvement so should have too much class for this field.
The unbeaten WINSIDE can complete the hat-trick. She is a likeable type who looks destined for bigger and better things. She probably will need to improve again to beat Rubic Honour as he looks exciting himself but I fully expect her to given what she’s shown in 2 starts to date. Plenty of speed on here and that could play into her hands as I just expect her to get nicely settled off the lead before picking them up close home. Rubic Honour is the danger as he has won his last two and looks to have turned a corner now. Back from a 7 month absence though so his credentials are likely to be tested by the favourite. Last time out winner Meyisti looks best of the rest.
