NAP – Best selection of the evening
THE AUSSIE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT HOBART ON SUNDAY MORNING!
Race 8 Hobart 6.37 Galenus (10/11)
Smart type who has won 5 from 7 starts and impressed again on return from 6 months off the track running on strongly to win at Cranbourne last month; can keep progressing so be a brave man to oppose him bidding for the hat-trick now.
Visually GALENUS was impressive again on return at Cranbourne and given the horse he beat Ocular has gone on to win next time the form has been strongly franked since. This is a bit tougher with Take The Sit and Alinjer both bringing winning form to the table but he is very talented and is expected to be running on best at the finish. Take The Sit is on a hat-trick and she is probably the main danger in her current mood. Alinjer did well last time and probably should have more than just 4 wins from 17 starts so still respected. It’s 20/1 bar those mentioned so hard to see anything at a bigger price getting involved given the strength of form the principals bring to the table.

THE AUSSIE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 3 AT ALBANY ON SUNDAY!
Race 3 Albany 7.29 Treat Yo Self (1/1)
Useful mare who comes here in great form having finished 2212 in recent starts; convincing winner at Ascot and only denied a nose at Pinjarra and this looks another good opportunity to get back in the winners enclosure.
The price seems to be collapsing on TREAT YO SELF but thankfully bet365 are holding firm at 1/1 at the time of writing. She won easily at Ascot and then missed just a nose at Pinjarra over this trip when well backed again. She can quickly gain compensation for that as she is by far and away the most likely winner in this field. Lyle’s Choice looks the danger from a low gate but he will need to do better than what he did when fifth at Ascot last time – needs to put that firmly behind him. So Schmick also disappointed last time but the 3kg claim helps. He has a low draw but likes to be ridden quietly so is going to need the gaps as the fav could be away and gone by then.

The Australian Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the night to maximise profit. They run at Hobart and Albany in the early hours of Sunday morning.
