Race 7 Sunshine Coast 9.45 Without Thinking (6/4)

Came home strongly to win well at Ipswich at the start of the month and chasing a hat-trick now; improving with experience and looks well placed to go in again especially if using the rail to his advantage.

This doesn’t look overly competitive to me but even so I think WITHOUT THINKING is going to take a lot of beating. He is 2 from 4 and finished runner-up on his two defeats as well. He doesn’t know how to run a bad race and hit the line strong last time suggesting this step up in trip could unlock further improvement. He will probably need to step forward again to beat Queen Dazzler but he’s definitely the one I want to keep on side. He is chasing a hat-trick and with the rail draw he has plenty in favour again. Queen Dazzler has 2 wins from 6 starts but hasn’t been seen since December. She should be fairly fit though from a recent trial win and does look the most obvious danger.

Race 6 Cranbourne 10.30 Just Malcolm (2/1)

Likeable type who justified favouritism on return here last month and was slowly away last time finishing second to a useful yardstick at Moe; form stacks up and with the promise of more to come he can win again.

The Aussie NB landed overnight so hopefully we can make it back-to-back winners as we head to Cranbourne on Friday. JUST MALCOLM made the breakthrough on return and ran as well as could have hoped in defeat last time when second to Our Musketeer. The latter looks a useful type so nothing wrong with that form. He should have more to offer yet and this looks a good opportunity for him to get himself back in the winners enclosure. Jungle Sensation is a nice filly and she brings winning form to the table after running on well to score at Mornington. She looks the most obvious threat to the selection if building on that. Glenferrie Girl probably best of the rest but does need more for win purposes.
