THE NAP (BEST BET) RUNS ON THE FLAT AT PONTEFRACT ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON!
Pontefract 2.25 Epidemic (6/5)
Showed a good attitude to make it 2 wins from 3 starts this year winning gamely at Leicester last month; unexposed over this trip and up just 4lb so good reason to think he’ll go in again; one to keep firmly on side for now.
The step up to a mile saw EPIDEMIC improve to open his account at Windsor back in May. He landed a bit of a gamble on that occasion and they came for him again at Newmarket but he didn’t look at ease on the track with 5lb claimer Aled Beech in the saddle looking a bit unbalanced. He then stepped up to 1m2f for the first time at Leicester last month with William Buick booked for the ride he made no mistake showing a good attitude to prevail. He was value for more than the winning margin for me and up 4lb on just his second try over this distance there should be lots more to come yet. Tombolo clocked a career best to win at Chester last time and looks the most obvious danger to the favourite.

Brighton 7.05 Junoesque (11/10)
Useful mare who has recorded 4 of her 8 wins at this track and pulled clear with the winner over C&D last time when denied three quarters of a length; races off the same mark here so claims are crystal clear.
With Keeper a non runner AGAIN we have replaced the NB with JUNOESQUE at Brighton tonight. This mare stayed on well to get back in the winners enclosure over this trip at Nottingham last month and given her love for this track and with Dawn View now a non runner this looks a cracking opportunity for her to add a fifth career win. Hashtagmetoo did it well at Bath last month but failed to back that up last time when only fourth. She looks the danger but I think the selection might always be holding her off in the closing stages. It’s 14/1 bar the top 2 so hard to see anything else springing a surprise as this looks a straight shootout. Atavique needs the eyeshields to work somewhat of a miracle.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Pontefract and Brighton on Tuesday.
