THE NAP (BEST BET) WON AGAIN YESTERDAY AND IS NOW CHASING A FOUR-TIMER!
Haydock 3.30 Starman (10/11)
Exciting colt who won the July Cup impressively making it 5 wins from his first 6 starts; softer ground went against him in France but back on a sound surface with potential to do even better he should have too much for these.
The ground should be rattling fast and that will give STARMAN every chance of bouncing back to winning ways. He is a classy sprinter who showed what he is capable of in the July Cup at Newmarket in July. Things didn’t go to plan in France but the ground was softer than ideal and he is expected to bounce back in style here. He holds the majority of these on recent form and given Art Power ran well when fourth in the July Cup I think he could emerge as the main danger but it’s hard to see him coming out on top. Creative Force remains a nice horse and should also be thereabouts but again has enough to find with the selection who looks to have been found an obvious chance of more Group 1 glory!

Thirsk 5.10 Southern Voyage (13/8)
Promising colt who has improved plenty since his stamina has been drawn out winning gamely at Redcar before staying on strongly to follow up on first crack over this trip at Ascot last time; unexposed and can complete the hat-trick.
I really like the chances of SOUTHERN VOYAGE here. He is improving with experience and this trip looks to be bringing out the best in him. He took his form up a notch beating By Starlight at Ascot and that horse has franked the form since winning next time out. He is very much the unexposed quantity in this field and with further improvement to come he should bring up the hat-trick. I do like Strawberry Rock and I have no doubt he is the main danger to the selection. He did disappoint a bit when second last time though and I think he’ll need to better that otherwise he’ll be playing second fiddle again. Eagle Court’s mark continues to fall so that also brings him in to contention to an extent.
Daily Double
The Daily Double consists of both the NAP and NB and is a great way of covering our two best bets of the day to maximise profit. They run at Haydock and Thirsk on Saturday.
