Race 2 Caulfield 4.00 Floating Artist (10/11)
Progressive sort who impressed again at Sandown last time bringing up the hat-trick; beat a good horse in Skyman so the form stacks up; more to come yet and can win this en route to the Caulfield Cup.
There isn’t much pace on here so it won’t surprise me to see FLOATING ARTIST push forward and look to burn them all off. He is a classy sort who has won his last three, beating good horses along the way. His target is the Caulfield Cup so hopefully he can win this before having a crack at that. Secret Blaze has 7 wins to his name and has to be respected on exposed form. Won gamely at Moonee Valley last time so at least arrives in form. Duais had been running well but was disappointing at Randwick last time. If she bounces back she could be the main danger but I still think the favourite has all basis covered here. Zayydani is a promising mare but this is tough.

THE AUSSIE NB (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS IN RACE 8 AT ASCOT OVERNIGHT!
Race 8 Ascot 10.30 Mystery Moment (1/1)
Likeable filly who made a perfect start winning on debut at Pinjarra back in August; settled well off the pace but swept past them all to make a winning start; sure to improve from that and can remain unbeaten here.
It’s hard to look past the unbeaten MYSTERY MOMENT here. She won really well on debut and looks a classy filly. She should get settled back off the pace again and will look to pick them all up late on. Rebelzone also made a winning start at Kalgoorlie. She also has potential but I’m not sure what she beat and she did only prevail by a head at the line. With usual progression she should chase the selection home. The front pair look a fair bit clear from the rest. Cross Statement probably is the best of those but he ran a stinker when nearer last than first at Belmont last time. Mercanto has gone off the boil but his previous form wasn’t that bad so he might not be too far away either.
