Taunton 3.25 Norley (11/10)
Progressive sort who first caught the eye chasing home another improver when runner-up at Exeter last month; built on that to win impressively at Stratford and then dotted up at Wincanton; more to come yet so big chance.
Given NORLEY is effectively 12lb well-in he looks to have an obvious chance of bringing up the hat-trick at Taunton on Thursday. He is improving all the time and impressed again at Wincanton last time drawing clear by 8 lengths. The step back up in trip will only help here and I’m struggling to oppose. He is 11/10 at the time of writing but I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t go off odds-on come post time. I don’t really see a danger but I did think Kendelu was a bit overpriced in terms of a place so that’ll be my saver in here. Akkapenko won at Uttoxeter 12 days ago but is likely to be found out up 7lb against a more progressive horse. Alberic stepped forward to finish second last time and is also noted.

Wolverhampton 4.35 Saleymm (6/5)
Improving colt who still needed the experience when only fourth at Redcar but quickly stepped forward to win impressively at Chelmsford; form solid and while this is tougher can improve again now handicapping back up in trip.
Dubawi colt SALEYMM created quite a big impression making all galloping rivals into submission at Chelmsford last time. He made all the running and was just too good for them. That isn’t bad form either and going back up to a mile now handicapping he can step forward enough to win this. I’ll be surprised if he isn’t better than a mark of 87 so the only thing that can cost him is inexperience but he looked to have come on plenty when winning last time. Summa Peto has won 3 times from 7 starts this year and clocked a career best last time so would have to be the danger. Giuseppe Cassioli has won over this C&D and was a good second at Chelmsford last time and the form has worked out well.
