Race 6 Kilmore 5.00 Otelo (11/10)

Good looking sort who made the breakthrough at Echuca in November before acquitting himself well in defeat at Swan Hill and then back in the winners enclosure at Wangaratta; bumped into a nice prospect latest; form stacks up.

This looks a great opportunity for OTELO to follow up. He has won 2 of his last 4 and looks to have taken his form up a notch recently. He ran on strongly from off the pace to win on penultimate start and didn’t do a lot wrong last time. With scope to improve again he looks the most likely winner in this field. In Due Time is unexposed and won last time so looks the danger with further improvement to come. Mortal Witness is a decent yardstick and she has been running well so I don’t expect her to be far away either. Mission River best of the rest but hasn’t shown much recently so a bounce back is called for. Hard to see anything at bigger odds proving good enough in here.

Progressive mare who has already won 3 times and she got caught wide on her first run for 4 months when down the field at Corowa last time; sure to come on physically and more to come yet so big chance to win again.

I’m really liking the chances of SNOWBELLA at Albury on Tuesday morning. She is a good looking grey who looks to be building a nice profile. She is sure to come on for that reappearance run and will take a lot of beating here given she is 2 from 4 at the track and 2 from 5 over the trip. Magnetic finished last at Geelong last time so has enough to prove off the back of that. Muwarrad is more exposed than most but does arrive in good form having won at Wangaratta and then finished third last time. Could be the one to chase the favourite home. Spirit Of Freedom is unexposed but disappointed last time and will need to leave that well behind. Willybeafactor best of the rest but needs to better recent form.
