Friday’s Best Bets
TONS TO COME ON FRIDAY! Away from Cheltenham we have racing from Fakenham, Doncaster, Newcastle and Wolverhampton. Daily Double pays 9/2!
Scroll down to find our most confident selections (NAP & NB) PLUS race-by-race picks for every race across all FIVE meetings again.
NAP – Best selection of the evening
Fakenham 3.05 Hiway One O Three (1/1)
Left previous form miles behind to win impressively in a first-time tongue tie at Carlisle 8 days ago; escapes a penalty and with Tom Cannon fresh off his Cheltenham success looks to have plenty in his favour again.
I’ll be surprised if HIWAY ONE O THREE is beaten here. He came alive in a first-time tongue tie at Carlisle last time and now he has his head in front he could really kick on. He escapes a penalty as it was a conditional jockeys’ race and it’s no surprise to see him trading as a short priced favourite. I expect him to be rated up in the 90’s so off 87 again he really should have too much. Thirtyfourstitches has won his last two and he is entitled to go well but the selection just looks too well treated and he is going to struggle up another 4lb. Here Comes Henry was off the mark over C&D on New Year’s Day but struggled at Uttoxeter last time so a bounce back is called for here to have a chance.
NB – Second best selection of the day
THE NEXT BEST (SECOND BEST BET) RUNS ON THE AW AT WOLVERHAMPTON ON FRIDAY!
Wolverhampton 8.30 Coase (7/4)
Improving sort who ran in a better race than this on penultimate start missing by less than a length at Newcastle; looked unlucky last time meeting trouble before running on strongly; can resume his progress now.
With the likes of Stopnsearch and Star Of St James going hard off the front this should be an ideal scenario for COASE and I fully expect him to get back in the winners enclosure tonight. He is still improving and I think is a cut above this level. He had a troublesome passage when beaten narrowly again last time and with a good gallop to run down he should be finishing best under Franny Norton. Stopnsearch would be dangerous granted a soft lead but he should get taken on and that can help soften him up late. Le Reveur has won over C&D and was a creditable third at Southwell last time having been slowly away. If he gets away on terms he might emerge as the most likely danger to the favourite.
