MY AUSTRALIAN NAP WON OVERNIGHT AND RUNS IN THE OPENER AT MORPHETTVILLE!
Race 1 Morphettville 3.22 Nishikado (1/1)
Flashy chestnut who won with a bit up his sleeve on debut at Gawler earlier this month; sure to improve from that and gets a good draw too so looks to have plenty going for him again; good bet to make it 2-2 here.
I’m keen on NISHIKADO to remain unbeaten Down Under on Saturday morning. This good looking sort won on debut following that impressive trial and with further improvement to come he will likely have the gears to cover this lot. He can go forward or stalk and pounce so is hard to pick holes in. Alpha Flight won on second start before bumping into Hope At Hand when second last time. More to come but will need to find a fair bit you’d imagine to stop this favourite going in again. Northumbria is yet to show a great deal but is fairly nicely bred to should improve at some stage and is worth a mention. The rest are all double figure odds and look to need more time and experience.

Race 2 Moonee Valley 4.20 Alpha One (11/8)
Promising colt who has taken his form up a notch recently winning his last two; impressive at Newcastle and followed up convincingly at Hawkesbury; can improve again and looks one to keep safe here.
Lots to like about ALPHA ONE at Moonee Valley on Saturday. This colt has won his last two and looks set to complete the hat-trick here. He is open to further improvement after just the 5 starts and should have too much for these. Keysborough makes his debut and is by Black Caviar so could be the danger but obviously lacks experience which could prove crucial. Shalaman won at Cranbourne but these are deeper waters for sure. He is a nice horse so has to be respected but likely place his best chance. Prado is also promising and will run well but that still might not be enough here. This is a race that is sure to throw up plenty of future winners. The Guava on a hat-trick but again this has strength in depth.
