NAP – Best tip overnight
MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 2 AT BATHURST ON TUESDAY MORNING!
Race 2 Bathurst 4.10 Covalent (best price 6/5)
Promising filly who was improving with experience when last seen; fitness no issue after a recent trial win and if she progresses as expected this looks a good starting point so should have what it takes here.
This looks a winnable race so no surprise to see COVALENT trading as favourite. She ran well the last twice and given plenty of time since she can make a winning reappearance here. She won a recent trial and is clearly an improved individual now. Writrose is gradually getting the hang of things and has been kept busy recently so looks the danger. In The Air Tonight makes her debut and is quite well bred to might make an impact. Likely do better for the run though. Steel My Thunder is entitled to leave those last two runs behind but will certainly need to if she is to get involved at the business end here. 12/1 bar those and hard to see anything springing an upset in here as lacks quality.

Race 7 Grafton 6.55 Another Spirit (best price 11/8)
Likeable type who missed by just a nose over C&D last month; coming to the boil again now and if building on that latest run will likely be hard to beat in this field; comfortably looks the most likely winner.
Recent form points the way of ANOTHER SPIRIT and I think he’ll be tough to beat here. He ran well at Ipswich only beaten narrowly and then missed just a nose last time. If he builds on that he should have enough gears to stay in front this time. More To Adore won here last time but this does look a bit tougher. He is still respected and feared as the main threat to the favourite. All Beans won at Armidale and then ran fifth at Port Macquarie. He should be thereabouts and likely has sound place claims. Anselmo has completely gone off the boil but on old form would have a squeak. Enough to prove on the balance though and quite a big price here as a result. Frozen Prince best of the rest but needs more.
