NAP – My best tip of the day
Newcastle 5.35 Pocket The Packet (best price 1/1)
Good looking sort who improved on handicap debut to win over 6f here last month; followed up impressively over the same track and trip last week; up another furlong under a penalty but hard to oppose.
The well handicapped POCKET THE PACKET should complete the hat-trick here. He did it with plenty to spare again last time and with the extra furlong posing no issue and a penalty unlikely to stop him he looks to have obvious claims. Slippin Jimmy showed good battling qualities to come away with the prize over C&D last time and is the danger off the back of that. Hard to see much else in here good enough to stop the favourite in his current form. Twilight Son filly Lady Wormsley ran her best race to date when second at Kempton when last seen in September and might have a squeak of hitting the frame if improving on that run. Storyinthesand has potential but probably needs more time.

Likeable type who took well to chasing last season winning 3 from 5 including his last two starts; second franked that Huntingdon form next time out; gone well fresh in the past so leading claims here.
I think Olly Murphy has found a decent opportunity for OUT THE GLEN to strike on reappearance at Southwell on Friday. He was steadily progressive over fences last season and even off a 7lb higher mark carrying 12 stone shouldn’t be enough to anchor him. 5lb claimer Lewis Stone developed a good partnership with him last season and keeps the ride. The Sue Smith yard is crying out for a winner but she still has the main danger here in Myburg. He has fitness on side and if building on that third at Sedgefield looks most likely to give the selection a race. Just Call Me Al is capable on his day but he needs to spark back into life returning chasing in first-time headgear and looks best watched.
