MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 7 AT TOWNSVILLE ON TUESDAY MORNING!
Race 7 Townsville 6.10 Tricology (best price 6/5)
Penny has dropped recently bringing up the four-timer at Rockhampton last time, prevailing by a nose at the line; 2-2 over the trip and can keep improving for a while yet so looks the one to beat once more.
Lots to like about the chances of TRICOLOGY at Townsville overnight. He has won 4 straight now and he is unexposed over the trip. He. likely won’t be far off the speed and should be hitting the line best if getting the gaps. Members Only won at Cairns last time and looks the main danger to the favourite. He had been running poorly prior to that so needs to prove he can back that up. Conquering Judas has 6 wins from 46 starts but is exposed compared to the selection so will need to be at his best especially if he improves which I’m hoping he does. Witsabouthim was building a nice profile but has gone off the boil in recent starts. Shaped a little better last time but still enough to prove right now.

Race 8 Tamworth 6.30 Demitasse (best price 15/8)
Promising type who has won 2 of his 3 starts to date and impressed winning on return at Muswellbrook last month; should tighten up plenty for the run and can still improve again so very much the one to beat.
The improving DEMITASSE looks well placed to go in again at Tamworth on Tuesday. He has put it altogether now and that was an impressive enough win on return. He can only build on that and looks to have found the right race to capitalise once more. Keep Me Loyal won at Inverell and then only went down narrowly beaten a head at Muswellbrook last month. Probably the danger. Iron Hat is a good looking horse who should get better with experience but he was only fourth again at Score last time and really needs to better that now to get competitive. Lessing was rubbish at Wyong but did at least bounce back to finish fourth at Kembla Grange so with more to come might hit the frame here.
