MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 4 AT FLEMINGTON ON FRIDAY MORNING!

Race 4 Flemington 5.30 Pacific Ruby (best price 11/8)

Progressive mare who has won her last two at Moe and Sandown and with further improvement to come looks to have found a great opportunity to land the hat-trick; will be hitting the line hard and should win.

Crossbar rattled for my Australian NAP overnight so hopefully I can go one better on Friday. PACIFIC RUBY looks set to make it 3 in a row now the penny has dropped. She won her last two when last seen back in the summer and with scope for further progress this campaign she should be able to win again. Elegant Diva won on debut but then disappointed at Moonee Valley on final start. She likely has more to offer but needs to bounce back to be a serious danger here. Fast Star has a similar profile to the latter having impressed on debut but she was also held in fourth on return last month and needs to improve to get involved at the business end. Circle Of Magic best of the rest.

Race 8 Dalby 5.27 Black Whitto (best price 9/4)

Tough sort who impressed winning convincingly at Warwick on penultimate start; only edged out narrowly over track and trip last month and comfortably rates the one to beat on recent form so worth chancing.

This might not take a great deal of winning so that makes BLACK WHITTO a standout. His win on penultimate start was impressive enough and he only went down narrowly last time. If bringing his best that should suffice here. Milagro has won 2 from 15 and ran well when second at Ipswich last time so looks the most likely danger. Zanazou has won 5 from 35 so more exposed but she knows where the winning line is and she could get involved here if at her best. Probably needs some of the others to disappoint to win this though. Anthropica has only won once from 24 and is in good enough form to be rattling the frame. Kohiko is also pretty consistent but doesn’t have the best strike rate.
