ANOTHER BUSY DAY DOWN UNDER! Racing in Australia on Sunday from Benalla, Sapphire Coast, Geelong, Townsville, Strathalbyn, Murwillumbah and Pinjarra. Overnight Double pays 10/3!

MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT STRATHALBYN ON SUNDAY MORNING!

Race 6 Strathalbyn 5.28 Whenthedeelingsdun (best price 1/1)

Improving mare who took her form up a notch to win impressively over track and trip last time; scope to progress again and even fitter now so looks well placed to follow up; definitely worth keeping on side against these.

This looks a great opportunity for WHENTHEDEELINGSDUN to follow up. She really impressed over C&D last time winning by 4 and a half lengths and now the penny has dropped she should have a lot more in the locker. She will go forward from a wide draw and likely take a lot of stopping. Tavikat is a little more exposed with just the 2 wins from 18 starts but if he brings his best form he should put up some resistance at least. Honey Go Lightly got her head back in front at Morphettville last time and is respected but she has more on her plate here against the selection. Possum Born is also in a rich vein of form but again will find this tougher. She does look a good bet to hit the frame though.

Race 6 Pinjarra 7.50 Rockaria (best price 11/10)

Promising type who made a winning start prevailing by a head on debut over C&D earlier this month; lots to like about his attitude on that occasion and with further improvement to come well placed to make it a perfect 2-2.

I think ROCKARIA did well to win on debut as he won despite showing signs of inexperience. He should be a lot more streetwise now and with improvement to come can remain unbeaten here. This isn’t a great race and plenty of his rivals come here with something to prove. Butterfly House is second favourite but she has just the 1 win from 11 starts to her name and was nearly last at Belmont which leaves her with enough to find. Rakiura is just 1 from 10 and 0/2 at the track so doesn’t really have an appealing profile. Dragonflies is even worse still being a maiden after 15 starts. The rest I’m struggling to see getting competitive so there really won’t be any excuses for this favourite.
