MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 3 AT FLEMINGTON ON SATURDAY!

Race 3 Flemington 2.45 Shuffle Dancer (best price 2/1)

Progressive filly who has won 3 of her last 4 starts and showed a great attitude to prevail at Sandown last month; open to further improvement and should relish the step up in trip so lots to like.

I’m keen to keep SHUFFLE DANCER on side as she hasn’t done much wrong to date and impressed winning again at Sandown last time. She can keep improving and looks the answer again here with this step up in trip sure to suit given what we’ve seen so far. Revolutionary Miss has just the 1 win from 11 starts but has some strong form to her name and should give the favourite most to think about. Wollombi has won her last 3 but this looks tougher and while she is respected I think she might be left vulnerable at the business end. Papillon Club remains unexposed and has won 2 from 4 so if improving might go better than her odds suggest at least. Razeta won at this track back in November but has been poor twice since so is another one with a bit to prove.

Race 3 Rosehill 2.30 Finepoint (best price 9/4)

Likeable mare who impressed winning at Warwick Farm and at this track before a big run in third at Randwick; failed to fire at Flemington but freshened up since she can improve again.

I’m looking forward to seeing FINEPOINT out again. She is a mare who still brings considerable potential to the table and if you put a line through that Flemington run she has a fairly progressive profile. She goes notably well fresh and given time since that last run she could be a danger to all in here. Tamerlane has been impressive in recent starts winning his last two and looks the obvious danger to this favourite. Maotai has gone off the boil lately but on previous form could have a squeak. A bit to prove at present though. Dynamic Impact won twice at Canterbury before finishing fourth at Randwick. He is a good looking type who would have a chance if bringing his best form. Riduna has been in terrible form bar that Newcastle second and has plenty to prove.
