Race 7 Moonee Valley 5.20 Alligator Blood (best price 7/4)
Smart type who has won 9 times now from just 21 starts and has a great record over this trip winning 7 from 11 including 2 from 3 at this track; lots going for him and can win again here.
It is hard to look past the favourite ALLIGATOR BLOOD here as his overall record is pretty remarkable. He loves this track and should be hitting the line hard. I’m Thunderstruck has some of the best form on offer and looks the obvious danger if it pans out right. Laws Of Indices was a good fourth at Randwick and if building on that is another one that could rattle the frame. Sheeza Belter has won 5 from 12 and looks to have a bright enough future but she is in at the deep end here and this won’t be easy. Nugget is quite a big price albeit he does look to have gone off the boil the last twice so a bounce back is called for now.

Race 2 Rosehill 1.45 Glory Daze (best price 7/4)
Likeable type who arrives here chasing a hat-trick having taken his form up a few notches recently; nicely on top at the line again last time and if improving again should be winning.
The progressive GLORY DAZE looks worth chancing at Rosehill on Saturday. He has won 3 from 10 now and is building a nice profile. He is open to further improvement and should be hard to stop again here. Sir Lucan has a similar profile and won at Randwick last time so if in that sort of form again could be one of the dangers. Almania is more exposed but does arrive in winning form so shouldn’t be totally overlooked despite probably lacking the potential of the selection. High Emocean has won 7 from 24 and caught the eye when third at Flemington but was nearer last than first at Sandown last time so needs to get back on track to have a squeak here.
