Race 6 Flemington 5.45 Altivo (best price 10/11)

Exciting sort who made it a perfect 4-4 at this track last week running on strongly from off the pace; can keep improving for a while yet and looks well placed to make it five in a row.

I’m looking forward to seeing the unbeaten ALTIVO out again at Flemington on Saturday. He was impressive again last time and just seems to be getting better all the time. He can still improve and is surely the one they all have to beat again? The step up in trip is only going to help and it is no surprise to see him clear favourite for this. Convener is a solid yardstick who has won 3 from 9 and he could be the danger after a nice win at Mornington. Bold Bourbon has won his last 3 but this looks tougher so he’ll need more.

Good looking chestnut who made an impressive start winning on debut at Terang and then went down just half a length over shorter here last time; step up in trip looks ideal.

Great chance for IPHIMEDIA to resume her progress. She impressed winning on debut and didn’t do a lot wrong in defeat last time. She has more to come and should make it 2 wins from 3 starts. Heuristic won here on penultimate start and is going the right way so looks the biggest danger. Chilled is likeable and she has won 2 of her last 3 so she is another one that should be in there competing for a long way. Stupendous won a trial by 6 lengths so she is also respected despite this being her racecourse debut.
