NAP – Best tip overnight

MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT CAULFIELD ON SATURDAY!

Race 6 Caulfield 5.55 Brigantine (best price 6/4)

Promising type who won with a bit in hand at Doomben on penultimate start and then only went down 2 lengths at Eagle Farm last time in a good race; this easier and can improve again so obvious shout.

No surprise to see BRIGANTINE well backed for this. He is a promising type who is still fairly lightly raced. He was impressive at Doomben on penultimate start and then acquitted himself well in defeat when third at Eagle Farm last time. This is easier and he has more to come so looks the answer. Poland has only won 2 from 21 and ran a bit flat at Flemington last time so will need more. Umgawa is a decent yardstick and he could feature if bringing his best form. Beehunter is more exposed but is another one that might rattle the frame.

Race 5 Doomben 5.07 Pocket Full (best price 7/4)

Likeable type who has recorded progressive form in recent starts and is eyeing up the hat-trick now; impressed again at this track last time and hard to find many weakness so should have them covered.

Great chance for POCKET FULL to complete the hat-trick. He was nicely on top winning by a couple of lengths here last time and back up in trip slightly should go in again. Sailor’s Secret has won 2 of his last 4 and looks the obvious danger. Count Da Beans has only won once from 11 so will need more against the top pair. Porky is still unexposed and would be a threat if bouncing back but he struggled last time so might be up against it off the back of that. The rest are double figures so they look up against it even if bringing their best.
