With a couple of runs under her belt now LA GIOIA should be ready to hit peak fitness. That was a tough ask last time but she performed creditably and now dropped into this easier grade she should be ready to strike again. This is a winnable race and it would be disappointing if she didn’t make an impact. Capablanca won at Kilmore on penultimate start but was heavily beaten last time. If bouncing back would be the main danger.

The improving BANGETTA is worth keeping on side now she has figured out how to win. She showed a good attitude to get on top at Newcastle last month and with more to come now back up in trip looks set to follow up. Angara is more exposed but didn’t run badly last time and could be the danger. Winged Beauty scored at Armidale last time but that wasn’t a great race so she will need more up against this field you’d think.
