NAP – Best selection of the evening

THE NAP (BEST BET) WON YESTERDAY AND RUNS AT YORK AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON!

York 1.50 Sandrine (7/4)

Unbeaten filly who stamped her class winning the Albany at Royal Ascot on just her second start; stepped forward again to win a Group 2 at Newmarket last month, beating a good yardstick; exciting and should make it four in a row.

Mishriff ran out a very impressive winner of the Juddmonte International yesterday and we stick at York for our best bet on Thursday. SANDRINE is a perfect 3-3 and I see no reason to oppose this filly. She was a convincing winner of the Albany and she ran on well to beat Desert Dreamer in the Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket last month. That’s a good bit of form and given she is open to further improvement a 3lb penalty shouldn’t be enough to anchor her. Zain Caludette impressed finishing like a train to beat Desert Dreamer at Ascot last month. She is also improving and on collateral form looks the main threat. Illustrating is another filly trending the right way.

NAP

York 1.50 Sandrine (7/4)

Wolverhampton 7.05 Roman Mist (5/2)

Holy Roman Emperor filly who has taken her form to a new level recently winning at Nottingham last month and backing that up impressively at Ffos Las last time; form looks progressive and a penalty unlikely to stop her.

I’m looking forward to seeing ROMAN MIST out again on Thursday. She has looked really progressive recently and that win at Ffos Las was a career best on the figures. She could still have more to come and I’m keen to keep her on side especially at 5/2 which looks generous to me (a lot like Cherish yesterday). She travelled strongly into it last time so hopefully a similar scenario pans out here. Ghost Rider was thrashed on reappearance but has gradually stepped forward and ran well when third at Wolverhampton last time. If the blinkers help for the first-time he could be the danger to the favourite. Asdaa has won 2 of his last 4 but was disappointing at Musselburgh so needs to bounce back.
