MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 6 AT CAULFIELD ON SATURDAY MORNING!
Race 6 Caulfield 5.45 Inundation (6/4)
Progressive sort who improved from his debut run to win at Mornington and then backed that up at Pakenham last time; can continue to improve and while this is his toughest ask to date he does look very promising; sure to go close.
We head to Caulfield overnight for our best bet Down Under and INUNDATION can bring up the hat-trick. He is improving all the time and he was impressive again at Pakenham last time. Likely he needs to step forward again in this company but foolish to rule out further progress and I want to keep him on side. Squid Game is also a nice type with 2 wins from 5 starts and he will give the favourite most to think about. I’ll be keeping him on my radar going forward. Starry Legend is a solid yardstick too with 4 wins over this trip. He will likely find one of the top 2 improvers too strong but shouldn’t be underestimated as has that proven form in the book and should run his race.

Race 9 Eagle Farm 7.37 King Of Sparta (9/4)
Likeable type who impressed winning at Gold Coast on penultimate start; given too much to do in top company at Randwick when last seen; given time since and can improve again so may well make a winning return here.
Hard to look past KING OF SPARTA at Eagle Farm on Saturday morning. This 3yo can progress again now and looks one to keep on side given how promising he looked winning at Gold Coast on penultimate start. Can go well fresh and has plenty going for him against these. Shooting For Gold has 7 wins from 16 starts so needs to be feared. He is also 3 from 5 over the trip and looks most likely to give the selection most to think about. Baller won here last time but this does look tougher especially against the unexposed favourite. Blondeau needs to better his last two runs to get involved but did win at Gosford prior to that. The rest all look up against it in truth.
