Race 7 Caulfield 5.50 Anamoe (best price 6/4)
Talented sort who has looked back to his best recently winning 3 of his last 4 and arrives here chasing a hat-trick; ran on strongly to win at Randwick last time and hard to find any chinks in his armour; most likely winner.
I’ve been waiting for ANAMOE to run again. I have always been a big fan and he has looked back to his best in recent starts. He was convincing again last time and with more to come should bring up a hat-trick of wins. Zaaki is obviously well known and looks the danger but was only third at Sandown last time and will need to bring his best to challenge the favourite. Alligator Blood scored at Sandown last time and that was a good effort but he will need more as this is a great race. I’m Thunderstruck has 7 wins from 17 but was below form when only fourth at Sandown last month. Mo’unga has form that ties in with Alligator Blood and will need more to even reverse that let alone win this.

Race 4 Randwick 4.20 Best Of Bordeaux (best price 15/8)
Likeable colt who had excuses on return at Rosehill and then improved to finish second in a good race last time; more to come after just a handful of starts and looks the most likely winner in this field; hard to oppose.
I’m struggling to look past BEST OF BORDEAUX at Randwick on Saturday. This colt is improving all the time and that was a big run when second last time. He has more to offer yet and is one to keep very safe for now. Willinga Beast has just the 1 win from 5 starts but is a useful enough yardstick and shouldn’t be underestimated. She gives the impression a bigger performance is around the corner so definitely the danger. Sejardan has been below form since winning here back in March and will need to bounce back to have a say here. Nettuno is 3 from 5 but again needs more on that fourth at Rosehill to get involved. This is definitely a race packed full with quality and the fav is a standout.
