MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 8 AT ROSEHILL ON SATURDAY MORNING!

Race 8 Rosehill 5.40 Golden Mile (best price 11/8)

Improving colt who has won 4 from 6 so far and impressed making it 3 from his last 4 in the Expressway Stakes at Randwick when last seen; obviously open to further progress and can make a winning return here.

This looks a great chance for GOLDEN MILE to make a winning reappearance. He is an exciting colt who is getting better with experience. He showed a good attitude to hold on in the Group 2 Expressway Stakes when last seen and his form stacks up. If you couple that with the fact Forbidden Love was disappointing last time out then he looks a mega strong play to me. The latter does go well fresh and she has trialled well for this so still looks to be the biggest danger. Mariamia made a bright return winning over slightly shorter here last time and should be best of the rest. She is now 2-2 at the track which is usually a good sign. Pizarro has more to come but this is definitely a tough enough test.

Race 3 Sunshine Coast 3.13 Sailor (best price 6/4)

Progressive sort who has taken his form up a notch recently winning his last two; unbeaten over this trip and can clearly keep improving for a while yet so no reason why he won’t go and bring up the hat-trick.

I’ll be very surprised if SAILOR is beaten at Sunshine Coast on Saturday. The penny has really dropped now and he has come into his own over this trip. He has scope to keep progressing for a while yet and it is going to take a big performance to stop him saluting the judge once more. Very Intoxicating looked promising initially but she has struggled a bit lately and was only midfield last time. She will need to better that to lay a glove on this favourite. Finsceal won convincingly here last time and he is a good looking type so he might be the main danger if improving again. He is 0/3 over the trip though which was enough to put me off in the end. Lucky Exchange is 4 from 8 and likely best of the rest.
