MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 8 AT RANDWICK ON SATURDAY!

Race 8 Randwick 6.55 Anamoe (best price 7/4)

High-class operator who has won 14 from 24 overall and was too strong at the top level prevailing by a neck at Rosehill last month; potent turn of foot enough to give him the edge again here.

I love ANAMOE and it would be great to see him come out on top in this. He was back in trip last time and got caught wide without cover but still managed to win. Back out in trip he has plenty going for him and I think he can get the better of the improving Dubai Honour. Marquand saddles the latter and he is obviously a talented beast himself but the Aussie favourite might always have the answers here. Cascadian also lined up and he arrives here with confidence high after winning at Flemington. He has a bit to find but should be in there pitching in the closing stages. The rest are double-figures and look up against it.

Progressive sort who brought up the hat-trick to win gamely at Morphettville last month; open to further improvement after just a handful of starts and looks the most likely winner again.

The improving VALIDATED can strike again despite carrying more weight here. He made it 3 in a row last time and has a cracking attitude for the job. He arrives here with the most potential of these and I think he’ll be tough to beat as the betting is suggesting. Merchant Boss has just the 1 win from 7 but hasn’t been running badly and should get competitive once more. Sixteen Reasons is yet to win but hasn’t had many chances so could go well. Fiorada Lad made the breakthrough last time but finds himself in deeper company here so is going to need to improve again if he is to spring an upset here. Hard to fancy much else in here.
