ANOTHER BUSY DAY DOWN UNDER! Racing in Australia on Sunday from Gatton, Devonport, Mudgee, Sapphire Coast, Sale, Pakenham, Port Augusta and Kalgoorlie. Overnight Double pays 9/2!

MY AUSTRALIAN NAP RUNS IN RACE 5 AT MUDGEE ON SUNDAY!

Race 5 Mudgee 6.07 Thorpe (best price 6/5)

Likeable type who made a bright start winning on debut; not done much wrong since finishing runner-up the last twice; good effort on return missing by just a neck and then denied a length last time; can get back on track.

A big field for this but it very much revolves around THORPE and if he produces his best then quite simply he will win this. He impressed on debut and has only missed narrowly the last twice. He is open to improvement and looks well placed to get back on track. Loud has just the 1 win from 6 now but her form is pretty consistent and she will likely threaten as the main danger. Per Capita is yet to taste success but he hasn’t been far away and is another one that must enter calculations.

Race 3 Port Augusta 6.03 Sandsation (best price 6/4)

Promising mare who continues to impress making it 2 from 3 at this track last time; moves up in trip slightly here but clearly at the top of her game right now and if she reproduces that last run she should win again here.

With 7 wins to her name already SANDSATION is well placed to follow up at Port Augusta on Sunday. She loves this track having recorded 2 wins from 3 here and back up in trip should suit so lots to like. The Cassini is second fav but he only has 1 win from 14 and that probably tells you about the lack of quality in the opposition. Rubble has won 8 from 66 so much more exposed and he could threaten if bringing his best but he looked a long way away from that at Murray Bridge last time so enough to prove.
