I’m confident HARVARD GUY can give weight and a beating here. This son of Telescope has taken his form up a few notches this season making a winning reappearance over C&D before following up impressively over track and trip last month. He has been hiked up the weights again but has more to come and could complete the hat-trick.

Catch The Beast clocked a career best at Punchestown and despite going up in class could still be the main danger. Lord Erskine has been consistent and is another one in with a chance.

The tough and likeable TALIS EVOLVERE has won 3 of his last 6 starts and he found plenty off the bridle to get back up at Kempton at the start of the month. He beat a good yardstick in Aratus and despite a 2lb rise should have a great chance of following up with Ryan Moore booked for the ride.

Dragon Icon won his first two starts before finishing fifth in the German Guineas. He still retains potential and is probably the biggest danger. Fantastic Fox is also likely to go well.

Back over hurdles off a lower mark CHOSEN DIAMOND could prove hard to beat here. He won over fences at Naas on reappearance off this mark back in November and despite getting beat the last twice still retains a fair bit of potential. He is lightly raced for his age and back over the smaller obstacles it would be no surprise to see him get back on track.

Mighty Jeremy wasn’t disgraced when fifth at Fairyhouse and if building on that could get competitive in terms of a place. Clonbury Bridge has the form to be a big player but needs to better that recent run at Leopardstown.

I’m going to take a chance of the in-form BERGERAC completing the hat-trick here. He is arguably a bit unlucky not to be coming here chasing a four-timer as was only beaten a neck at Newcastle before his winning run started. He only won by a neck at Southwell but I thought he was good value for that. He is up 5lb but has a good draw and this does look winnable.

Alligator Alley was a good third at Wolverhampton on penultimate start and is better than what he showed when only fourth at Southwell last month. If bouncing back he could have a chance. Diomed Spirit has won his last 4 and impressed again last time and that form has substance so he is the main threat.

Only the 8 runners for this but it is a small but select field. I like MINELLA COCOONER to come out on top. He looked to need the run when third to Fact To File at Leopardstown and if leaving that behind he could be the one to beat. His second to Classic Getaway on chase debut looks a good piece of form and he still has a lot of potential as we know he stays well.

Sandor Clegane didn’t run badly when fourth at Fairyhouse but bettered that to chase home Favori De Champdou at Punchestown. If improving again he will emerge as the danger. Senior Chief is open to improvement and is another one to note.

I’m keen to side with the progressive OH SO GRAND here as this Postponed filly bids to complete a hat-trick of wins. She showed a smart turn of foot to settle things over track and trip last month and that visual impression was backed up by the clock as well.

Queen Regent chased the latter home last month and might be the one to finish second again. Miss Bluebelle was back to winning ways impressively last time but has gone up 7lb from that.

Plenty of each way chances in this and EAGLE TERRACE makes appeal. This son of Gleneagles impressed staying on well to win at Down Royal last month and the field were well strung out in behind. He has gone up 7lb but you’d be foolish to rule out another big run and in an open race he could be worth chancing.

Rochestown was back to winning ways impressively at Tramore on New Year’s Day and if repeating that sort of form off an 8lb higher mark he could be the danger. Fox Le Bel has some form that stacks up and is another one that should get competitive.

It might be worth chancing TWO PAST EIGHT to come good again in the lucky last. He looked good winning over hurdles at Fontwell back in September and hasn’t done much wrong since. He was disappointing last time but back on the Flat could be ready to surprise a few. He ran well off this mark at Wolverhampton on penultimate start so should go close.

African Star is unexposed and was beaten less than a length at Southwell so if building on that looks the danger. Havanazam won nicely last time and if seeing out the trip could also go well.
